Mission

 

       To provide airlift and air support to quick reaction units of AFP counter-insurgency and unconventional warfare operations.

 Functions

 

• Transports and evacuates quick reaction personnel by heli-lift operations or para-drop to designated area of operation;

​​

• Conducts limited close air support, reconnaissance and aerial supply operations in support of surface forces;

 

• Infiltrates enemy hold territory and collects combat/air tactical intelligence;

 

• Performs organizational maintenance of assigned aircraft and limited field maintenance of armament related system; and

 

• Performs other functions as maybe directed by higher Headquarters.
