Team Building 2018
The Wing conducted the Team Building Activity 2018 spearheaded by the Wing Commander, 205THW BGEN GLORIA AFP last 11 May 2018. Prior to the event, the Wing Commander together with the unit commanders and staff scheduled a conference to plan for the upcoming activity including the coordination of the venue at Karancho Beach Resort, Maribago, Lapu-Lapu Cityand the resource speaker for the GAD Lecture. On or About 0700H, GAD participants as well as interested couples started registering for the GAD Activity and by 0745H, GAD registration committee headed by the Civilian Supervisor, Ms Ernestine Ricardo, completed the list of participants.
About 0800H, the resource speaker, LTC ABIERA JR arrived at the venue. The activity started with an opening prayer lead by SSg Emperado. The Emcee, 2LT TABIGNE, then introduced the resource speaker and talked about his achievements and field experiences as Chaplain throughout the archipelago. He had emphasized how reliable and credible the resource speaker was. During the activity, the resource speaker discussed to the married couples and detailed participants of the activity about the “Role of Religion in the Family.” He emphasized that for the family to stay together and build harmonious relationships, couples must pray together. He also added a lecture about the AFP code of conduct and ethics which families may reflect and integrate for better relationships. He defined what marriage and family is and how religion affects marriage and family life.
The resource speaker was impressed with the Team Building activity initiated by the Wing where this would guarantee harmonious relationships among families. Quality time is very important for families and their dependents. He ended the lecture with a quote from Pope John Paul II which states that “The future passes by way of the family”. The lecture formally ended with the remarks delivered by the GAD Chairperson and Deputy Wing Commander, COL HONASAN. He thanked the participants for attending the activity and the resource speaker for the wisdom he shared and discussed to our personnel. Together with the Wing Commander, BGEN GLORIA, GAD Chairperson, COL HONASAN, and the participants witnessed the giving of certificate and token to the resource speaker.
The emcees, 1LT SIACOR, 1LT FLORDELIZA and AW2C Ceniza, announced the birthday celebrantsfor the 2nd Quarter. With the lit candle on their cupcakes, the 205THW personnel rendered a birthday songtogether with the Wing Commander to our 2nd Quarter celebrants. Aside from the birthday celebrators, the Wing also recognized the newly promoted personnel and newly checked out pilots for the.
A toast initiated by the Wing Commander as recognition of their successful feat. After which, the Wing Commander delivered his remarks. He was impressed and overwhelmed of the environment at Karancho which had a summer atmosphere. He was very thankful for the effort of his Deputy Wing Commander, Director for Operations and Unit Commanders and Staff. He was truly honored and blessed for the safe travel of personnel for the conduct of the activity. He then gave a short message and told the personnel and dependents to enjoy the activity.
The emcees started the team building games with the first game entitled “Volleyballoon”. The game composed of three teams with six pairs of participants and were tasked to bring abath towel as a tool for catching and throwing the water balloon. Out of the three teams, the 208THS/210TTS team, 450MSG team and HAS team, the strongest teamannounced as winner was the 208THS/210TTS. As the team building games continued. The three teams with their members compete with the second team building game, the “Fill me in” followed by the “Centipede Game”, where the composite team of 208THS and 210TTS emerged as over-all winners. Then followed is the fun game Bring me for the dependents of our personnel.
The program ended with the awarding of winners of the team building games and special awards during the event. After which was declared open time for families and personnel to bond and socialize.
